Printer Profile?

By jcoltrin ·
I have to install 5 Lexmark printers on every Win2k machine I set up. This entails running the driver setup, setting up the printer's paths, the model printer, the paper trays, output expanders, and default paper source etc. etc.. Is there a way to copy an existing profile I've set up on a different machine to a new machine? It would be cool if I could just install the printers and copy a profile or file to the local machine and be done with it.

Printer Profile?

There's a way : Unattended Installation. In the settings you choose, set the printers to be connected to.
You should find a friendly tool called setupmanager on your w2k CD\\support\tools in a .cab eventually(copy setupmgr.exe & setupmgx.dll in c:\winnt, and type setupmgr in "run" to launch it)
Well, try it and see how it works. It can help you for many other things.
Take a look at unattend.doc, it helps

Well, hope it helps
