Why does text get cut off on the right margin when I try to print from a website?

Because some website programmers do not take into consideration, the printing needs of users -- when you have an index column on the left side of a website page, the part you print is thrown off by that column. Microsoft and other major corporations, do put up what they call "Printer friendly pages" designed for output to a printer. Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to do this.

If the programmer did not provide a means to print just the article, then the other alternative, is to highlight the part you wish to print, and copy/paste it to a word processor or to notepad or wordpad.

Yet another option is to use a screen capture utility (such as SnagIt) and copy a sepecific region of the site to the printer. SnagIt is extremely flexible and will allow scrolling down as well. You can "Fit to Page" or whatever you like with it.
