problem opening microsoft courseware fil

By matsfredriksson ·
Im a trainer in Stockholm preparing new courseware for Windows NT 4.0 administration. Before he went on vacation an MCT colleague sent me two ZIP files, each containing a Microsoft offic?al courseware powerpoint file to be inspired by. Problem is it won' open. The zip seem undamaged, but it will give me an error when I try to unzip it, stating that the checksum is wrong. I tried to PKfix the files but that dont work either. The files where sent on two different occations, so I dont think that the zip fils would both be corrupt. Is there a special trick opening these files??

Make sure your using the latest version of WinZip. If you are, you may need to try this: Use Notepad to open the file, don't make any changes to it. Close it, and try it with WinZip. Hope this helps...g

What are the files? If they are on the MCT site, I can send them to you as well. I've had problems opening a few of the Microsoft files, so it may be a Microsoft problem. It is also possibly a problem with the e-mail provider. (There's a few e-mail services that wreak havoc with e-mail files.) Let me know if I can be of help.

I always have this problem when I send ZIP files with Passwords through any type of firewall.

Whenever I e-mail zip files from home to work, I cannot use passwords on them.
