Problems Accessing HTTPS sites

By rpedley ·
I cannot access any HTTPS sites from either inside or outside my firewall.

I've even tried a dial up connection, after having disconnected from the LAN.

I am using IE6 with SP1, all my SSL's etc are checked in my Explorer options and I have 128 cipher strength.

Any ideas!??

fwl inbound/outbound

You need to allow tcp 443 outbound (with syn)

And then you need a counter rule inbound that says from world tcp/443 inbound to lan <1024 without syn set.

As far as getting to a local https site that you have set up, I have no idea. Unless thesite is not configured to use SSL. You just can't type in https for a site that is just http.
