Problems with SP2

By kcowdin ·
After installing Windows XP sp2 on a couple of machines, I (an administrator) log on without any problems. However, when my client (it does not matter if he is an administrator, power user, etc..) logs on, the machine blue screens and then automatically reboots.

Has anyone experienced this or know of any fixes??

A couple of questions to better understand the problem:

1) Does this happen *only* when one specific client logs on? Have you tried letting
someone other than you and this client log on?

2) If it only happens when one specific client logs on, the most likely culprit is a
program loading from that client's "Startup" folder or from the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software|Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

3) You've probably thought of this, but have you tried a adware/spyware remover such
as Spybot Search & Destroy?
