Question about Samba:

Write shell scripts that take user information (like username, password, home directory, etc) from the shell, then calls useradd, passwd, userdel, etc and another custom script that creates/modifies/deletes Samba users.

Then use these scripts instead of useradd, passwd, or userdel.

If you want to use users in an NT Domain, see http://www.lplug.org/?March_2002 for a powerpoint persentation on setting up Samba with NT authentication. At the end there are several shell scripts to create accounts and permissions for a group of users. The scripts could easily be modified to create linux accounts as well.
