random reboot emachines

I have a emachines that randomly reboots is their anything I should check first with emachines or should i check each componet.

  Operating system?
  When does it reboot (loading Windows, using software, randomly)?

  Check to see if it will reboot while in the bios screen if so this is a hardware problem and not a software problem.

  It’s an Emachine. I had a friend with the same problem. I spent over a week trying to fix it. Ended up taking back to the place where she bought it and the warranty covered replacement. I have 3 years computer troubleshooting experience and Emachines are the worst. Can’t explain why one min it does something and the next you can’t do the SAME thing. I guess you get what you pay for.
