RAS Access from Windows 2000 to Windows

By lowws ·
Dialing from a Windows Pro 2000 client into a Windows NT 4.0 RAS server. Dialing successful but unable to log into domain; can't access shared folders, connect to application on the server, etc. Everything was okay under Windows 95. What did I miss?

When you log on to the 2000 machine, prior to connecting to the RAS server, are you logging on with a local account, or are you logging on under the domain account that is stored locally?

If you are logging on with a local computer account, the local credentials will not be transferred when you connect to the RAS server, even if it is the same username and password. You need to have your domain account stored locally, and you need to log on to the machine with your domain account prior to connecting to RAS.
