RAS Access notification

By Andy Weight ·
I would like to know if it's possible for the administrator to be notified at a workstation when someone connects to the server using RAS. I know that I can look in the active users window under RAS Admin, but is there a smart automatic way of knowing?

We run SBS 4.5 and NT 4.0 workstations

a low-tech way would be to use performance monitor, add a counter for a suitable object ( telephony) and set an alert on it. The alert should send a message to the appropriate machine or account. (btw, how is sbs4.5 - i have 4.0 and waiting for upgrade (6 weeks :-( )
