Realtek HD Audio Manager & Windows 7 Disables Front Jacks

By grenj ·
We have a Realtek HD Audio Manager in a Windows 7 environment. Unfortauntely it disables the front microphone and earphone jacks. The rear jacks work fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but same effect. HELP, please?

The M'Board may not be suitable for use with 7.

However after testing 7 on several different systems all with Realtech HD Sound this was something that I did not experience the Front Panel Sound Jacks stop working. With the 20 or so systems that I tested 7 on they all had working front Panel jacks. Did you check that you have the correct Plug for the Front Panel Jacks plugged onto the M'Board?

The Realtech jack that comes in many cases can cause a similar issue to occur and all that is required is unplugging that Plug and plugging the HD labeled Plug to the M'Board.

Realtek Win7 = Front outputs dead

by GalAnonimus In reply to Did you first test this s ...

Yes the system passed the MS Win 7 test. The same hardware works with Realtek HD Audio on Win XP, but not on Win 7. Realtek does not recognize the Front. It appears that there is a problem with setting proper registry entries and Realtek does not cooperate in releasing the proper settings. Also there might be a general Win7 problem with IRQ's.
