Hi!

I'm know there is, With the NT Resource Kit you have a Rmote Boot program.

It might work in Win 95/98 too.

Else checkout:
http://maxx.mc.net/~jlh/nttools.htm

It's a bunch of tools like the one you are requesting and more, not sure if they run under Win95/98, but try they are free.

There is a program that you can get from the following site
www.adkins-resource.com
The program is called Hyena and will let you see all your servers and workstations and let you do alot of remote admin. You problem can be solved with this programby simply right clicking on your server and then selecting shutdown. I hope you like it.

I have used resource kit remote boot program both from NT workstation and from Win98 and I have use Hyena. The NTRK is the easiest to use, but Hyena is the more powerful tool.

Good Luck!

I use pcANYWHERE for this. The advantage of this software is, you've got the server on your remote PC and can do all the administering and adjustments from your remote. You should be able to download a 30 day trial version from symantec's site.

I use ControlIT software from Computer Associates to reboot/control our NT servers from within our network or even from home thru the Internet using either WIN 9x or NT Workstation. Setup allows you the use of security passwords, IP or IPX net protocols, modem for DUN or even cable modems, etc. You have to install the remote PC as Viewer and as Host on the servers. Once installed on servers, you can configure to run it as service, too.

Other remote control software like CarbonCopy or pcAnywhere should also serve your purpose.

Good luck.
