recommend a good database program

By Triathlete1981 ·
can someone recommend a good database program. what we need is to be able to create different, custom templates and have users add records according to the templates into a server-based/back-end database.

the forms need to be highly customizable. i've tried access but there's issues with multiple users logging onto the same form or table within the same database.

we don't want to break the bank with an oracle or sql and no one here knows commands for something like mysql.

three users need access to the database, no more, no less. something easy to use and not too expensive. i've tried at least a dozen demos of software that just doesn't fit the bill.

any suggestions would be great.

MS Access can do the Job

Hi,

Considering the no. of users who'll access the database, MS Access will be a good choice as backend and frontend to address your requirement. You only need to tweak the basic configuration of a file-server Access App since you are not already considering SQL/Oracle.

Anyway, just shoot me an email if you want a cheap but quality MS Access services.

Access should be OK

You need to split the database into a back-end (where the data lives) and a front-end (where your input forms are) - and link the back-end tables into the front-end.

Better still use a back-end database and a VB front-end.
