recover NT system files in case of hard

By dhuynh ·
i repaced my 4.2 GB SCSI fail hard drive with a 9.2 SCSI hard drive. Then i reinstalled NT and backup software. Then i restored the whole system using my last full backup. When i rebooted the server, i got a blue screen and the machine froze. What did i do wrong? What step(s) should i take to correct it?

Try using your Emergency Recovery Disk (ERD). You did make one before the upgrade, using the commandline RDISK tool, I hope?

If you don't have one, you may still be able to recover by using the 3-floppy NT Boot disk set, choosing the (R)epair option (this would be where it prompts you for that ERD).
