Remote User Dial-in Problem

By dchristy ·
We had a remote user who dials-in through RAS,also using a third-party package called "Fiberlink". While trying to dial-in to our network from Canada, he received a PPP error. When we checked the properties of TCP/IP, his IP address had defaulted to an invalid IP address- all octets were the same number. What could have caused his problem?

Are you using DHCP at both ends of the dialup? If you are there should not be any numbers in his tcp/ip configuration.

At the time we had this issue- we weren't using DHCP- and the user had tried to reboot, and was successfully logged in. Thanks for your help!!
