Remove multiple OS selection on boot-up

By igor.maystrenko ·
How do I remove the menue selection of what OS do I want to select on Boot-up. I once had NT4.0, Win 2000, & Win ME. The only one I have now is Win ME but the OS selection displays at boot-up.

You need to edit the boot.ini file, which is at the root of your system drive. The file is hidden, so you will need to remove the hidden attribute to edit it. remove all but the win me entries under the [operating systems] heading. Be sure to createa recovery disk before you start.

Thanks. I looked at the boot.ini file and it had all the references to the other OS's but not to Win Me. I'll look at it again and remove the unwanted
OS's after I create a Recovery Boot disk.

Boot from the ME startup disk. At the A: prompt type in SYS C: hit Enter, wait for it to finish and reboot.
