Removing popups: ie winpup, winactive

By stevenl ·
Was hoping someone could help me remove winpup and winactive from my startup programs and register.Have deleted the pup file from the reg. and run msconfig\starup and unticked windows active but it still appears in the startup programs.

Downloaded adaware which was useful for the removal of a lot of trash.Found a site called pacs-portal which helped me to find and delete an 8 digit regenerating file from my systems folder.Winpup just kept popping back up until that file was removed. Thanks anyway
