Removing Security Identifiers.

By ldavis ·
I am running Windows 2000 server. I've noticed recently that in the registry the security identifiers (SIDs) for profiles that have been deleted are still there. Can I simply manually delete them from the registry or is there a way of purging them automatically?

The SID is generated by the system. All the objects in Windows 2000 have their own SID and the SID wont be reuse again. So is there a need to delete the deleted object SID?? Again, it is up to you to take the risk to delete it. Theritically, it shouldnt have any problem.

Have a nice day,
Cheers!
