reorder Outlook 2000 folder list

By DShort1975 ·
Is there a way to re-order the folder list in Outlook 2000? In other words, if an additional mailbox is listed first, the Inbox second and a personal folders third, can they be arranged differently?

I do not think you can, It will order mailbox alphabetically with mailboxes at time, then PSTs, then Public Folders.

It seems to be done alphabetically. You can adjust the names in your profile in the registry in order to re-arrange them. If you?re comfortable with making registry changes, go to regedit and navigate to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\, then expand the name of your profile and search through all the subfolders. Look for the names you wish to change (i.e. mailbox - name, etc?). You may have to change them in a couple of different subfolders (change all instances). Hope that helps.
