Reporting Utilities for NT Server?

By Mark_Taylor ·
I need a utility for reporting on 'how long a server has been running', for monitoring processes, services etc and for creating reports/graphs for each month. What, if there are any utilities are available for doing this kind of thing? Freeware/Shareware if possible but company will pay any rego fees.

Dameware NT Utilities gives you the option of listing total up time, version info, hotfixes applied, users, groups, processes running, event viewer info, PATH info, NIC statistics, and so many other features. It has really streamlined how I monitor my NT/2000 boxes.
You can export the report listings to CSV files, then import in Excel and make your own bar graphs.

They have a 30 day trial.

And no, I am not an employee of Dameware, but I am a client!

I have developed some scripts in order to save the event log onto an access database every night.
Then have setup some standarts queries under Access in order to query events posted by applications and security alerts (my focus)
and make some reporting about user activity, logon time, account locks, etc.
If you think that this "open platform" may serve your needs, I can send it to you.

Hope it helps!!!
