return mail

By J.wilson ·
A friend of mine has 2 e-mail address's. The first @sasktel.com;the second @saskel.com. The messages are sent to me from saskel and I must return/reply to sasktel.I'm not sure why he has seperate address's for sending and recieving.In order for me to return mail I must send new e-mail;as it is I'm unable to reply to each post with these 2 e-mail address;I recieve return mail.Is there anyway that I can eliminate the incorrect address and reply to the correct one.When I reply the address bookshows 2 address's. The incorrect one "saskel" is addressed in the reply post and I must add the correct address "sasktel" thanks

The incorrect reply address is most likely coming from your friend. You should ask them to check their e-mail settings.

Recheck the email ADDRESSES ON BOTH ENDS... LOOK them over carefully. Better yet, delete them both and re-enter them carefully watching every keystroke. Also recheck all areas in the email setup on both machines (especially HIS) to see if all areas have been input correctly.

I would suggest you tell your friend to look at their email set up.
If you are able to send but cant reply then there must be something set up wrong from their side when they entered the reply address

Or you could use an address book and set-up your friend correct email in the contact list.
Good luck

The user in question is likely to have 2 email addresses set on the server for whatever reason. It is likely that the primary email address is different from the one set as global. You can urge you friend to point the issue out to the mail admin.As a final test you could delete both email addresses from your address book and get you friend to send you a new email this way you will be rest assured that you are replying to the right address. If the message bounces back then it is not you problem, as the administrator at the other end should be looking at the issue.

Also if the Exchange server is configured to send email without a service provider to route the reply the no matter what you do the message would bounce back as email sent is only one way without a service provider to reroute the reply.
