RPC server

I am trying to kill a remote service with the Rkill command, but everytime i try i get two errors. First I get the Remote Procedure call is unavailable. RPC server is unavailable. The second error i get is RPC server is unavailable. The parameter isincorrect. Here is the command as i have it RKILL /NKILL \\"server" "process". ANy help would be appreciated

The problem could be DNS related. The famous 'RPC is unavailable' message relates to a DNS problem most of the time. Double check you can ping the name of the server that the process is on.

I can ping the other server and the rkill service is ruuning on the remote server

If you want to kill a remote process you first have ti install the rkill server on the remote PV or server. The command order is as follows:
rkill /install \\computername
will install the server service for rkill
rkill /nkill \\computername processname
will kill a process by name
or
rkill /kill \\computername PID
will kill a process by PID
