Not all the newer hardware has NT 4.0 drivers. If the manufacturer didn' supply them, then, Welcome to the Wonderful World of Active Directory!

Check chip set or SATA controller manufacturer's web site for NT 4.0 drivers. More specifics on motherboard would help or server manufacturer and model #.

Most likely though, NT will not be supported. Newer Intel Xeon boards with SATA RAID do not support NT.

Couldn't find that model # on Dell site. 1420SC is closest match and there are no NT drivers available.

Journey to dell.com and plug in your service tag #. Check out FAQs and downloads.

I suspect you are out of luck.

If you really want to run NT, may want to build a good basic PC with IDE or SCSI drives or get an older model server.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

If you can't find an NT Driver on the Dell Site (or on the site of the SATA Chipset Manufacturer), you can still try using the Windows 2000 Driver. It might just work!
