Saving Access 97 Table to Excel

By frankus ·
Several workstations with Office 97 do not accept the option of "Excel Spreadsheet" in the Export Function from an Access 97 table. We installed all the Data Access Options including several from the Valu-Pack in Office - Still no luck.
What are we missing?

We do a maximum install of Office 97 SR2 and have no problems. I would suggest deinstalling Office 97, rebooting, then installing the above. Hope this helps.

There's no need to do a full re-install of Office, just make sure that the check box for Access is a white box with a check mark, not gray with a check. Access will not install all of it's features if a less than full installation is performed.

All right, I'll stop answering off the top of my head.
The MS Knowledge base has a couple of articles that may be pertinent. They seem to revolve around using the /y flag when running Setup.
Q171955 ACC97: Certain ISAM Drivers Not Appearing in Files Of Type Box
Q155666 ACC: Troubleshoot "Couldn't Find Installable ISAM" Error
Q160954 ACC97: Removing/Adding Wizards Fails to Create ISAM Registry Key
You can get to the papers by using a URL formed like this one:

Thank you for the answer that made the difference.
The first MS Knowledge Base paper was sufficient.
Thanks again.
