I need to find a low cost backup solution. What are the options these days?

Depends upon your definition of low cost.
I use a Seagate Travan tape backup [ $170.00 for the drive and 1 10GB tape from Newegg.com [3 pack 10 GB tapes $86.00] I run SBS 2000 AD with Exchange and ISA server on one box with 20GB Mirrored HDDs. Entire system backup fits on one tape and thats with all updates to W2K server, Exchange Server & ISA server. .

Thanks and this does help but what are you using for the software? We need to back up an ACT! database that is most critical to our operations and with the server (WIN2K). Can I use an USB hard drive?

I am administering a SBS2003 Server and using the integrated backup software with a 4mm DDS scsi tape. You can use an external USB also. 3rd party b/up software not essential but offers better job scheduling flexibility.
Another alternative is Drive Image 7.0 which can b/up to CDRW or DVDRW as well as tape or drive devices. Drive Image is available from symantec on a trial basis.
