ScreenSaver?

By theword ·
I have a RedHat 7.0. After installation the screen saver would come on after about 10min. I changed it to some other picture, and changed the time. Now it defaults to around 10min. and shows now picture at all. I have changed other capplets, like the Theme. "This works like a champ."
No matter what I do in the screen saver box, it does not WORK.
CAN YOU HELP WITH SOME WISDOM.
THANKS,,,,,,,,,Pat

Open properties and click on screen saver tab,set the screen saver to the theme you have running, then click on the settings button, check to see if you have the mouse movement set to the corner, this will deactivate the screen saver. If the mouse ifs set to the corners, the screen saver will not show, set it to ignore mouse settings.

HI.
I read your instructions, but I don't get it. 1st I go into control center, than I go to themes,(like you say). It seems these are independant of the Screen Saver, cause the names propose no linkage between the two. I set the theme to default. I then reset the screen saver to Lightning. Still the same.
I dont see a mouse setting anywhere, so you got me there.
What do you think?
Thanks again,,,,Pat

One obvious thing is who are you logged in
as?? Screensavers are disabled by default
for the root user. They will work for normal
users. I also have found that some of them
on the list just plain don't work. Try
setting the Screensaver to random.
