Security for Outlook Express

By sidvail ·
Is there a way to secure Outlook express so that the inbox, etc. is not available to anyone but the person it's assigned to? I have a public machine that I had to place an email account on for one of my employees. Unfortunately, anyone who gets on the computer can look at her existing messages. (not download new ones) Can I block this?

check out:
http://www.blumentals.net/protector/index.php
This is a utility that will password protect any application you run in windows, allowing only the user with the e-mail account to run outlook express. Useful if the machine just stays logged in without each user having their own user account.

Thanks, was hoping for something intrinsic to 98, but a third party program will work also.

Are you using OE5?
Try
http://www.spectrum.net.in/protectmails.htm

If not, let us know if you use profiles on that machine. You can use profiles to not allow any other users to invoke OE.
