    Send on Behalf of…

    I have a group mailbox setup, and have granted users “sendon behalf of” permissions for this mailbox in Exchange. Whenever one of those users send an email on behalf of… the sent email goes into the users SEnt folder and not in the group mailbox sent folder. Is there a way to direst “sent on behalf of…” messages to the group mailbox sent folder?

      OWA may resolve this issue

      I do not think that there is a way for Outlook to do what you want. Essentially you are not sending from that email address. In fact when others recieve the email it says it is from XYZ user on behalf of ABC user.

      I suggest that you give the users rights to the mail box and let them send email via OWA. Once rights are granted, they can access the box through http://{exchangeserver}/exchange/{XYZ User}

      Then the messages will be placed in the sent messages of the XYZ user’s mail account.

        We use OWA, but with the nature of this “Group” mailbox, it is not a practical solution. The only other solution I have come up with is to create a rule in each user mailbox to move the sent items to the group mailbox sent folder. I fear this will be an administrative nightmare though as the users of this group mailbox are very dynamic… the number of users changes frequently.

      this involves 2 mailboxes; a user mailbox and a group mailbox. The user has send as permissions to the group mailbox. she is not listed as a delgate, nor is she listed on the send on behalf of list in the Exchange Mgmt Console. A few times a day, she will send a message from the group mailbox and when she looks in her sent items, the message has in the From field On Behalf OF . i have tried creating a new profile and re-creating mailbox rights with no luck.
