SessionWall3. Incorrect logging.

Situation: SW3 is behind firewall and LAN.
Problem: SW3 logged all outcoming and incoming e-mail as outcoming SMTP.
ANY COMMENTS?
Any comments on advantages and disadvantages of SW3 are very welcome too.

Well, the reason for logging the emails is because of a rule which comes by default from Sessionwall configuration which logs the emails.

All you need to do is just to disable the rule or modify it as you please.

Sessionwall is generally a quite good Intrusion Detection System. With legal software you get ypdates and you can even use it as an antivirus gateway. It is definitely great for automatically scanning and blocking rated sites provided you need to do so ;-)

On the bad point, itis very resourse hungry (depending on the things you are logging and the traffic on your place).

Another thing is that it comes from CA which has all kinds of stupid and dumb licensing policies.

Recently a hack has beeen found to mount an attack on Sessionwall as wel as on its password. I think CA came with a patch for it.
