    Set limitations for Account

    Locked

    by jimbrady57 ·

Hello, I have two accounts on my computer; “Admin”, and “public”.

I want to disable just “public”‘s access to regedit, mmc, and the run command. They are already disabled to gpedit. Can anyone help me with this?

I tried modifying the group policy, but I quickly found out that it applied to my admin account too, which I do not desire.

Log on to the standard/public user account
Click on the orb and type gpedit.msc in the search block
Right click on the gpedit above and select run as administrator. Provide the administrator credentials to continue.
In the left pane, under User Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, then expand all settings. What you want to do, should be in there. I know “remove run command” is in there and the other stuff you want to do should be there also.

      I hope this helps!
