Setting IRQ manualy

By kkrzyszka ·
I wish to change my IRQ numbers for intergrated devices as my main board is only pnp and i have no point within the bios to disable pnp and manualy set these up. i am able to do this in 98 but not 2000 and XP, i know that 2000 automatically does this but i am having problems when using flash any idea's appreciated. when trying to do it in device manager or system console the option to change these settings is always greyed out

98 may let you think you are changing the irq but it MAY not be the case. Review the IRQ's chosen in the black & white screen of 98. Does it match the settings. If you tried to manually manipulate the IRQ's the odds are something will NOT match up. Not an answer just an observance about 98.

Unless there's resource conflicts the irq settings shouldn't need to be changed. What are the problems you are having with flash?
