Have you tried this? Be sure to work through the first two sets of instructions. Also, the last two sets of intructions may also apply to your situation.

I would like to help you here and now so that you can save time, so here goes. If you have your outlook express open, click on tools/accounts. On the tab that says MAIL, click and open it. Now, scroll to add...select MAIL. It will ask you, what name do you want to show on your account, type in what you want, then click NEXT, it will ask you for the pop3, imap or http settings. If you have yahoo.com, then the settings are POP3, and type for incoming mail server box: pop.mail.yahoo.com, and for the outgoing mail server box type: smtp.mail.yahoo.com. CLick next, then type your email addy with out the yahoo.com extension, and then your password. If you want the outlook express to remember your password, and you do not share the computer, then tick the box that says remember password. Make SURE that you UNcheck "log on using secure" Also, while you are at it, click on SERVERS tab and check the box thatsays "requires server Authentication". Then click next and then finish. I hope this helps, and I am doing this from memory because I set up this type of account a few years ago. If you have SBC global dsl,(through Yahoo) then I think the settings are smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.
