Setup to share cal Outlook 2000/ NT netw

By lbtabb ·
I need to share the calendar function in Outlook 2000 on a NT network. This is a small CPA office where the assistants need to view and schedule appointments for themselves and the accountant. What is the easiest way to do this. Instructions would be appreciated.

The user that needs to share their calendar should do the following:

Open Outlook
Click Tools/Options
Click the "Calendar Options" button
Click the "Resource Scheduling" button
Click the "Set Permissions" button
Click the "Permissions" tab
Click "Add"
Select the name of the person(s) you want to
give permission to from the GAL
Customize the permissions with the checkboxes
underneath.

Biggest question is, what's your mail server? If it's Exchange Server, then the other answer is correct. If it's an Internet-style mail server, then you are limited to Outlook's Internet Free/Busy and sometimes flakey Net Folders features. I've posted info on them at http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm.
