sheduled tasks can not run

There are several sheduled tasks on my NT Server 4.0 (SP6). All of them are simple dos batch files with a sequence of commands in it.Why this happens?

I'll assume you are using the AT command to schedule these tasks.

First question is do you have the Scheduler service running? If so, are the batch files calling executables like net.exe? Make sure that the full path to the executable is included to ensure that when the task is run it can find the executable.

Also, check to make sure that the Scheduler service has the rights to run the programs in your batch file. You may need to run the service with a domain account if you are running anything that requires a connection to another system on your network.

Hope this helps. If not, you may want to post the contents of one of the batch files so it can be reviewed and provide information about the AT schedule.

Where did you stored you batch files?
If you did not specified the whole path to your batch files, AT command,by default, looking only in "winnt\system32" directory.
