I am running Active Directory on Windows 2003. Is there any way of showing a list of logged-on users?

I'm not aware of a way to do it in Active Directory but you can download this free utility that will give you user name and computer name (using netbios), also ip address and online/offline status.

I don't know if you have access to the domain controller. I log on to the network as a Terminal Services Client, and click on Start, Administrative Tools, Computer Management (must locate the DC if not the same as the terminal Server), System Tools, Shared Folders, and Open Files. Then by clicking on Accessed By, you can view not only who is logged on but also what files they have open. Might be an easier way.

I wanted something more complete. It's OK since it is free.

The PSTools suite from systems internals includes a tool called PSloggedon which will return all logged on users on any NT-based machine.

Hope this helps :-)

Sorry, I don't have the budget $$ to purchase software.
