When you receive this error, you should make sure you have the correct crivers downloaded to your PC. After downloading them, You need to go into your control panel, click on system and remove the sound card items, and undefined items that are there. Reboot the machine, and WIN98 should search for the drivers. Install the drivers and give it a go. If this does not work, open the AUTOEXEC.bat and COnfig.sys to REM the lines referring to the location of these sound card drivers.

We need some more information. Is this an error message you're getting, and do you acually have an Adlib MSSC32 Wave Plug and Play card in your system?

Most problems of this type can be solved downloading the latest drivers from the manufacturer's web site, removing the card in the device manager, and rebooting. When the OS detects the card again, click "Have Disk" and give it the path of the drivers you downloaded.

Good fortune,
Don
