Spamhaus and Spamcop..blocks IP address !!!

By raju.rawat@burrenegypt. ·
SPAMHAUS and SPAMCOP, these spam engines created a havoc recently by blocking the IP address and they wish to remain stubborn about it, which has resulted and created enormous tremor in our branches worlwide. Mails are happily bouncing back. Our enterprise uses and hosts Kerio Mail Server. Yes, The reverse DNS is configured well.

Our ISP (real-ip-provider)is clueless and have futher commented they have no hand in this issue.

Hey Guys, please please advise or guide me to avoid this situation.

Thanks in Advance.

It sounds like your email server is blacklisted, either because it is relaying spam our your ISP is. You can check at

I hope this helps.

Blacklisted for Nothing

by raju.rawat@burrenegypt. In reply to Blacklisted email server

Thanks Indeed!

Had no idea this spamhaus and spamcop (spam engines) were having a nice time in Kerio Spam Filter settings..they were listed there, happily blocking IPs.

Yes, spamhaus is on its way to be sued according to yahoo search reports.

Who authorizes this jerks to settle in the spam engines.. I could have lost my Job..damn it!!!

How did you do it?

by dcp1077 In reply to Blacklisted for Nothing

This is the second time this has happened to my company. Last time we ran a dozen malware, spyware virus progams, found the virus, cleaned it off the computers, de-listed the ip and had no more problems. Now six months later, same problem. I ran more detection programs, found nothing and keep getting re-listed. I'm not an IT professional, but can usually figure out the solution with a little research. This time I am lost. Can you help me? Seems like you solved your problem. Now I need advice on how to solve mine.

I tried this and it worked

by raju.rawat@burrenegypt. In reply to How did you do it?

Hi DCP,

Depending on your mail server application, just get to the spam filter settings, you will notice spamhaus and spamcop(spamengines) listed. I deleted it for good!!

But in your environment this action should be practised at your other corporate branches as well or else expect happy mail-bouncing even though white listed.

Our Company uses Kerio Mail.

These spamengines are free and they are welcomed by any mail server.

Hope you get out of this loop as quick as possible. Mine was nightmare.
