SPD not detected at Dimms 1,2,3 ???

By aburnham ·
I recently added 3 x128 mb dimms got a SPD not found warning. Does the Award 4.51PG Bios need to be flashed to detect the new memory. The sys board is a Biostar M6TBA with Pent II i440BX chipset. The documentation is not slear on what memory is required except that should be unbuffered. Any help would be great.

SPD not detected at Dimms 1,2,3 ???

You're getting this message because a setting in your bios is telling the computer to look for parity memory which has a Serial Presence Detection chip on it. Tell the bios you are using non-parity memory and the message should go away

SPD chips hold the information about "timings" which BIOS have read after,
put the new dimms. You have to flash BIOS with new version, because I think your new memory is PC133.
