Spherion

by jkat In reply to Spherion courses any good

I did a Cert IV course when Spherion was Interim Technology. (In Perth, WA)
The course wasn't too bad - it got me a job!
The biggest benefit as far as I can see was the speed that you could gain a certificate. Mine took around 5 months.
The biggest drawback was the cost! ($9,100au) I felt it was hugely expensive for the content. There was no Instructor led training, it was all self paced. While it covered a wide range of topics, few of them had a lot of kind of depth. Many were all theory.
I would say that if you want a fast track into IT, or need a Diploma quickly, then Spherion isn't too bad.
If you don't learn well by yourself, or learn better with Instructors etc. I wouldn't recommend it. (Or are cash strapped)

I have seen adverts for other companies that do similar things for a similar price, yet have instructor led classes AND self paced learning.
Hope this helps!! :)
