Spyguard Detection

By chesneymr ·
I've read through the questions regarding spyware but is there a way to detect if "spyguard" has been downloaded onto your system? (www.spyguard.com)

The way I see it, there are two types of spyware software and spyguard is used to detect the spyware that captures emails, keystrokes, websites, etc.

The ways to tell if Spyguard is on the machine is to check the Programs menu, the other way is to open Control Panel, click the Add/Remove Progams icon, look in the list for the program
The third way is to check the system by using the File or Folders Search, this will list the folder and location

Not to familiar with spyguard by there is a free program called spybot. You can download it from http://spybot.safer-networking.de/ or just do a search for it at www.download.com. I love this program because of the advance features allow you to immunize you PC from certain types of sypware and you can then do a manual scan to see what's on your PC at anytime.
