    Startup menu files

    Locked

    by trs789 ·

I’ve found a couple of .exe files in my startup that, after doing a search still haven’t been able to find out what they are and, more importantly, whether they should be there. (Windows XP)
    1gfxpers.exe
    OV550EM.exe
    TDHelp32.exe
Wondering if anyone can shed some light on what are these files.
    Thank you. .

Have you checked the file properties?

Much of the time, the version tab will tell you who made it and the application to which it belongs, etc.

1gfxpers.exe : This looks like a graphics driver, possibly the interface for settings, which probably puts an icon for such in the system tray. Intel persistence module.

Are you sure the first character is a “1” and not an “i”?

OV550EM.exe : USB camera connection monitor

TDHelp32.exe : Universal Networks Support Library
Top Domain eXchange SDK. from Nanjing Universal Networks (U-NET)
This could be from some network software or a media recorder using software developed by the company mentioned.

Have not looked at the file properties. I searched the internet and all I found on most of these was scanning software.
I have never had a USB camera. So, I’m not sure why this is in my startup.
And it is an i not a 1.
regarding TDHelp – I’m not on a network and haven’t been for awhile. necessary to keep this?
