Systray

Does SysTray have to be loaded? I have disabled all Startup items except Explorer and Norton AntiVirus in an attempt to keep Windows from loading everything but the kitchen sink. System seems quicker and works fine.

Any help appreciated.

I agree, it does not have to be loaded BUT..
You may find problems with programs such as Norton, etc which want
to minimize to the SystemTray. If you don't use these types much, then don't worry.

Both of the above are correct. I would only add that systray takes up so few resources it's not to your advantage to disable it.
