Taking control of Outlook from VB6

By Oz_1972 ·
I am writing a vb app that allows the user to e-mail a contact through the application. This part of Outlook automation I have working. But what I would like to do, is once the e-mail is complete and the user sends it, instead of saving a copy to the outbox in oulook I would like to specify an external dirctory i.e. a client sub director on a file server... This is something I'm having great trouble with at the moment and am sure the answer is stairing me in the face... Cheers!!

Taking control of Outlook from VB6

When an email message is generated it is in outbox. Once sent the outbox copy is removed automatically and is moved to sent items folder.

in VB6 find or download from web "olemsg32.dll" and add reference. Use this messaging automation server. you can easily access the sent items once sent and move it to your required folder. you have move method.

I meant you can use the other shortcuts of outlook through automation and access your computer folders or any shared folders over your network in your domain. Then you can save the copy of the email.
Good luck.
