Tape name not available

Hi,
I am using ntbackup.exe in my Win 2000 server.
my tape name is not found in backup destination. it is in disable mode. how to enable it.
Tape connection are correct and my tape also working.
I verify it using HP diagonestics tools. solve the problem.

What type of tape drive is it? Some Drives aren't meant for windows 2000 servers and probably won't work with that OS.

Otherwise open "Computermanagement in Administration Tools. Expand "Services and Applications", and then "Services". Now make sure the service "Removable Storage" is enabled and running, otherwise enable it and start it. Now expand "Storage", then "Removable Storage". You should now be able to connect to your tape drive, if it is supported by w2k server.
