Taskbar problem

By quaquita ·
One program, WordPerfect, won't minimize to the taskbar on the first try. I've run Kelly Corner's Taskbar tool multiple times with no luck. I've also re-installed WordPerfect and deleted the HKCU....Explorer\StuckRekts registry key and rebooted (maybe Kelly's tool does this too--I didn't check the code).

Argh. Thanks.

Does this infer that it WILL minimize on the 2nd attempt ?

If so, are you by any chance perhaps running a Shadow OS - in as much as you actually have TWO Explorer Shells running, one behind the other ?

Thank you for your reply. I mean when I first open WordPerfect and minimize it, it does not appear on the taskbar, but the wordperfect process is still running in task manager. I use alt-tab to switch back to WordPerfect. The next time when I minimize WordPerfect, I can see it on the taskbar.

If I had two explorer shells running, would I see two explorer.exe processes? If so, then I am only running one shell. If not, please tell me how to detect if I have two explorer shells running.

Thank you again!
