TCP Port

hi,
i need to enable TCP port 6103(which is currently not enabled),pls tell me what is the procedure for enabling the port

Er, on what.

Router?
Firewall?
Firewall Software?
XP Firewall?

You need to be more specific.

I pulled up the NMAP port services file to see what applications run on TCP port 6103. Here is what it reported:

"Backup Exec Agent Accelerator and Remote Agent also sql server and cisco works blue"

So, just run any of the applications in the list, and that will open up the port. You see, applications open ports; you can't just click a checkbox to make a port available. You need to run something that uses the port for inbound communications.
