Terminal Server consuming multiple licen

By bmoss ·
Hello,

I am currently running Terminal Services and in checking I realized that several of my client PC's have been issued multiple permanent licenses (Windows 2000). Is there a way to correct this so that each of the PC's consume one permanent license? I have downloaded and installed the latest security patches and service packs but the problem exists.

I recall that there is a specific Licensing scheme required when Teminal Services are utilized. If you check your Win2K Server documentation Booklet, I believe you will find that under Licensing the per user method is required if Terminal Services are activated/installed. So this is likely by design.

Thanks for your reply. However, I think you are under the impression that I meant the Terminal Services license as well as the Win2k server user license. What is happening is that several of my client PC's are receiving more than one Terminal Server license which I think should not be. Not all of them are.
