Terminal Services Serial Port Mapping

By jedavidow ·
Seriously. The Microsoft knowledge base is infuriating.

Does anyone know how to map a LOCAL serial port to a session running on Win2K terminal services?

I had no problem finding the info for Windows Server 2003 though...

Thanks!

In Win2000 server go to:
Programs ? Administrative Tools and Terminal Server Configuration.
Next Connections and ?RDP-TCP Properties?.
Then go to ?Client Settings? and untick in Disable the following ? ?COM port mapping?.

To map COM port ? use NET USE command.
You can write a small script and set it to run when user logon.
To change port no. ? check MS - Q186504
