Hi!

Perhabs, you'll need to install some type of recording software(Adaptec Easy CD Creator, WinOnCD etc.)

That's odd. There are no CD-ROM drivers for Windows 9x! You'd better check SCSI IDs and termination. If you don't know what these are, then post follow up question or find this widely available info by yourself.

Hi!

You don't need a driver for your CDR or your CD-ROMS, but you do need a driver for your SCSI card, try and find the latest drivers for your SCSI card and go from there.

If driver update won't help I would start checking SCSI IDs and termination as stated above.

While it's true that *most* CD's don't require specific drivers, some do - particularly CDR devices. Check Yamaha's WWW Site for troubleshooting info and downloadable(s). If it's asking for drivers, then SCSI Termination probably isn't the problem (if it was, then the system wouldn't even know that the device is there, and so wouldn't ask for drivers).

I have the same set up at home. Try removing the DVD drive first, and see if the CDR starts working. If this works, swap the order of the scsi drives on the cable and see if the Pioneer get's knocked out. If the CDR is the one knocked out again, then see if you can find newer firmware for the two pioneer drives as they are knocking out the CDR.
