Too fast for sound in the media player

By budi_aditia ·
Hi all,
My PC specs is PC Intel Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz, RAM 640 MB, HDD 40 GB. It runs on Win-2000 Prof.
The problem is when media player (no matter what the product is) is activated to play an MP3 format file, or to play multimedia then the sound plays too fast. The sound is heard so funny, just like when we perform 'fast forward' feature on cassete/tape-player system.
How can it be fixed or how can it be setup to make the sound be normal.

Thank you,
Kind Regards,
Baditia

1. Make sure you have the Service Pack 4 installed.

2. Upgrade Windows Media Player to the latest one.

3. Uninstall the sound driver and reinstall it with the latest one.

Thank you for the advise.
Apparently that the problem resides on the sound driver, hence I re-installed it to make to multimedia be normal again

Kind Regards,
