Um Where's Yarinsiz

by Tony Hopkinson In reply to TR Community scoreboard f ...

Boy is number two power user, must have made at least one stat surely...

Really hard to post right now...

by AnsuGisalas In reply to Um Where's Yarinsiz

I guess the counter is for all my attempts, not for the few posts that actually made it through :)

Anyway; yarinsiz has undergone rendition... he's now in a 45ft container somewhere, bound for ... well, nobody bothered to find out.

That's a good game.

"Where's Yarinsiz?"

I'd like to s-u-g-g-e-s-t the center of the western artillery impact area at Ft. Sill, OK.

Tony's averaging better than 1.5 thumbs per post. I gotta raise my game.

Spam busting

by JamesRL In reply to TR Community scoreboard f ...

I'm not sure how your metrics work. I flagged at least 30 posts on Friday afternoon from 3 different spammers. I flagged a few more on Saturday, and a couple on Sunday.

Are you counting only the number of unique spammers or the number of posts flagged?

Collapse -

God I hope it's not unique spammers...

by AnsuGisalas In reply to Spam busting

Thinking of HAL's 94 of two weeks back...
I think maybe the magic cut-off point robbed you... I'm always surprised by my spam numbers, they're high when I've been slacking, and nonexistent when I've been running like a dog... or so it seems at least.

Yeah. I'n not sure where the date delimiters are, for one.

by seanferd In reply to Spam busting

Where does the x day period start and end? Then there is the possibility that you are flagging spam at the same time as another peer. Also, an ESP might not transmit every flag without notifying you. Sometimes they dump or hold up "bulk" mail.

I know it sure feels like I flagged craptons more spam than was listed for me the last two weeks, but it is only a feeling.

edit: Frankly, totaling the numbers, I feel they are a bit shy of what was actually seen. YMMV.

Date delimiters for the Community stats

by Sonja Thompson Staff In reply to Yeah. I'n not sure where ...

The dates for the data I use go from Wednesday to Wednesday. I'm checking with Tammy to see what dates she uses to tabulate the Spam Busters.
